Contract Disputes

Within a corporate environment, disputes can range from unpaid bills and breaches of contract to insurance liability, defective products or services, infringement of Intellectual Property rights and many other matters. Aiker Legal will represent you in any dispute in which you may be involved, whether as plaintiff or defendant, and it will be our aim to settle the dispute in the most advantageous manner relevant to the facts of the case.

Wherever possible, we seek to resolve disputes through informal negotiation; alternatively, we would consider arbitration or mediation as a viable alternative to court proceedings. Arbitration is particularly appropriate for commercial contracts, whilst mediation comprises careful negotiations overseen by an independent mediator. Both are a less formal and less expensive route to settlement than courts.

If neither of these processes are appropriate, then we will review with you the options of going to court, bearing in mind the financial implications that such a route involves, as well as issues such as length of hearing, adverse costs and the likelihood of success.
